Your league can use Total Points or All Play as a way to determine a champion if the season is cut short. The above two options provide a great way to have a backup plan. The All Play record can be added to the standings report as a column, and it can be viewed on a separate report called the Power Rank report.Ĭontingency Planning for Shortened SeasonĪn NFL season that ends early is within the realm of possibilities, so it’s a good idea to think about how your fantasy league would handle a season without the full slate of 18 regular season weeks (especially if your league uses a Head to Head schedule). By the end of the season, you might have teams with records such as 111-43 or 85-69. The 2nd highest scoring team will have a record of 10-1, and so on down to the lowest scoring team, which will be 0-11 for the week. For example, in a 12-team league, the team with the highest score will have a win-loss record of 11-0 for the week, since they would have defeated everybody else. There is also a separate Weekly Summary report that shows the weekly high scores and the overall YTD scores.Īnother alternative is the “All Play” format, where each team plays against every other team each week. It’s easy to understand, and readily available as the “PF” column (Points For) in the Standings. Instead of a weekly schedule, you just submit a lineup and score points each week, and then the team with the most points at the end of the season is the winner.
